About SAI

SAI Academy is a Perth based tutoring service that was founded by Kartikeya Bisht. The courses at SAI Academy are designed to best fit the ATAR courses studied in Western Australia and designed especially to prepare students for the WACE exams. The courses aims to build basic skills and knowledge required to pass each course and progressively challenge and encourage students and to help them develop problem solving skills as well as learn key examinations techniques and strategies that can help them maximise their marks. The course booklets offered by SAI Academy are of the highest quality and developed by Kartikeya Bisht.

Our Belief:

At SAI Academy, we believe that quality education should not be expensive and unaccessible to deserving and talented students. It is with this belief we are extremely pleased to offer our courses in Mathematics Methods, Mathematics Specialist, Physics and Chemistry at a very competitive and affordable price of $27.5 per class.

Our Courses

  1. Weekly classes: our weekly classes run throughout the term as well as during term holidays and prepares students for weekly tests as well as exams in Mathematics Methods, Specialist, Chemistry and Physics.
  2. Masterclass: Closer to Mock and WACE exams we will be running course masterclasses. More information about this will be sent to registered students and available on our website closer to the date. Each masterclass will be 4 hours long and will be held over multiple days.

About the Tutors

1. Kartikeya Bisht

Kartikeya Bisht attended PERTH MODERN SCHOOL and served as the Head Boy of the school for 2018. Kartikeya tutored privately for 3 years prior to founding SAI and served as a school tutor in the Mathematics Homework club. Kartikeya received an ATAR of 99.90 and some of the awards won by Kartikeya in year 12 are:

2. Keegan Loo

Keegan attended Perth Modern School and graduated in 2021. He achieved an ATAR of 99.90 and some of the awards won by Keegan include:

  • Mathematics Methods: COURSE EXHIBITION - Keegan obtained the HIGHEST MARK in the state in Mathematics Methods and holds the record for the only student to have scored 100% in the ATAR Exam
  • Specialist & Methods Excellence awarded to the top 0.5% of the students for the WACE exam

Keegan has been tutoring at SAI since 2022 and specialises in Mathematics Methods and Chemistry. He is completing his Bachelor of Biomedicine (Integrated Medical Sciences) double degree and hopes to complete his Doctor of Medicine degree at UWA.


3. Phillip Harvey

Phillip attended Perth Modern School and graduated in 2021. He achieved a PERFECT ATAR of 99.95 and some of the awards won by Phillip include:

  • Mathematics Methods Excellence awarded to the top 0.5% of the students for the WACE exam
  • Runner-up Dux of Physics – Phillip finished 2nd in his year at Perth Modern School (PMS)
  • Runner-up Dux of Specialist – Phillip finished 2nd in his year at PMS
  • Dux of Music (2020) – Phillip topped Year 12 ATAR Music (2020) at PMS as a year 11 student
  • Principal’s Award for Academic Excellence both semesters – PMS’s predictor for the General Exhibition award
  • Sphinx Society: Six Semesters – at least 5 A’s and no C’s or below for each semester from Year 10

Phillip has been tutoring at SAI since 2022 and specialises in Mathematics Specialist and Physics. He is completing a Bachelor of Science (Actuarial Sciences) and hopes to work as a quantitative analyst.

Kartikeya has designed all the booklets, which will be delivered by Phillip and Keegan in 2023. Worked solutions to every question are uploaded every week on classes available at 'teachable' to help students understand his thought process and methodology used to answer WACE-exam styled questions.

Classes are held at Perth Modern School on weekdays in AU17 from 3:45 pm to 7:00 pm. The running times of each class is detailed in the registration forms (again, see "Register") but are also detailed below:

1. Mathematics Methods: 3:45 pm to 5:15 pm - Mondays (Year 12) and Fridays (Year 11)

2. Mathematics Specialist: 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm - Mondays (Year 12) and Fridays (Year 11)

3. Chemistry: 3:45 pm to 5:15 pm - Tuesdays (Year 12) and Thursdays (Year 11)

4. Physics: 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm - Tuesdays (Year 12) and Thursdays (Year 11)
